Glittering Goldie O'Gilt
Goldie is by far my favorite of Scrooge's ladies. Along with Brigitta, she is also the one who has made the most appearances in comics. Goldie debuted in 1953 in Carl Barks' classic story, "Back to the Klondike." She has been used by many other artists in the past years, not the least of whom is Don Rosa. Her last name, O'Gilt, comes from Rosa's stories. Goldie also appeared in several episodes of the DuckTales television series. |
