ABES BLANK WISCONSIN RAPIDS; HUSKIES BLANK HUDSON
Eau Claire Memorial won its 5th straight game, 6-0, over Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday at the Hobbs Ice Center. Eau Claire North got two short-handed goals and a power-play goal to beat Hudson, 3-0, at Gornick Arena. It was the second time this year that Sam Nelson and the Huskies blanked Hudson. It was also the first win for North in Hudson since 1995.

BLUGOLDS LAND LOCAL PLAYER
Eau Claire High School Hockey has learned that Andrew McCabe will become a Blugold. McCabe will transfer from Nebraska-Omaha. He'll practice with the 'Golds this semester and become eligible next fall. Meanwhile, former Old Abe Isaiah Bennis leads the 'Golds with four goals at the Christmas break.

Jake Dowell skated with the Blackhawks in October. He is now back with Rockford, the Hawks top farm club.
