Until his senior year, Jonathan had the misfortune of being a very good player on some not so good teams. The Old Abes were 15-45-3 during his first three seasons. In his final year, Memorial posted a 17-7 mark and won the Big Rivers Conference title. Airis and his teammates had the privilege of playing in the 2000 WIAA State Tournament, although they were shut out in the Quarterfinals by Madison Memorial. At the time of his graduation, Jonathan was in the Top Ten All-Time Scorers for Memorial. He is still in the Top 15.
