Jake's assault on the Memorial record book is over. He closed out a spectacular career as the Abes' record-holder for goals in a career and in one season, breaking his own record set last year. He also broke the single-season scoring record set by Jefferson Dahl and is 2nd on the career scoring list. He had an incredible 23 goals in ten WIAA Tournament games in his last two seasons and 28 in his career. He had 15 career hat tricks and scored four or more goals in a game five times in his senior season. His five goals in the playoff game against Hayward fell one short of the school record. Jake was named 2014 Mr. Hockey, the 3rd Old Abe to earn the honor (Jefferson Dahl and Saxton Soley were the others). As a junior, Jake's 40th goal of the year was the game-winner in Memorial's 2-1 win at the WIAA State Quarterfinals. He added two goals in the semifinals and two more in the State Championship Game. He was named the 2013 State Tournament MVP.

Jake is now playing for the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds. He played for the Chicago Steel in the USHL and the Janesville Jets of the NAHL. Check out his stats here.
