Jefferson Kirk Dahl capped his outstanding career by leading the Old Abes to their first WIAA State Championship and earning the 2008 Mr. Hockey Award. Dahl rewrote the school and city record book and holds virtually every career and single season scoring record at Memorial High School. Jefferson teamed with Seth Soley and Isaiah Bennis in his junior year to form the most productive line in city history with a combined total of 187 points, an average of over seven points per game! He had a 27-game scoring streak snapped in the 2007 State Tournament semifinals. Dahl was named to the All-BRC 1st team in 2006-07 and 2007-08. He was the BRC Player of the Year for 2007-08. He was also named to the All-State Team in both his junior and senior seasons.

Jefferson had one of the most impressive debuts ever by a Memorial player. He scored on his first shift, and had a hat trick in his first game. Dahl was named to the All-Big Rivers Conference Honorable Mention team in 2005-06.
