David Donnellan closed out an amazing career by being named the MVP of the 2008 WIAA State Tournament. "Double-D" was one of the co-captains for the undefeated 2007-08 State Championship team. He was named 1st Team All-Big Rivers Conference as a senior and 2nd Team All-BRC as a junior. Donnellan is the highest scoring defenseman in Old Abe history. He surpassed Tom Bernhardt on the all-time list on January 3rd, 2008. He is in the top 20 on the Abes' all-time scoring list. He was named to the All-State Team in both 2006-07 and 2007-08.

David played two years in the Junior ranks. He played one semester of 2010-11 with Western Michigan. He is now playing for the Sioux City Musketeers coached by Luke Strand and Keith Paulsen. Check out his current stats here.
