Jeff Schemberger was a dominant defenseman at both ends of the ice. He led the Abes in scoring in 1989-90 and scored his 15th goal of the year, a school record for a defenseman, in the WIAA State Semifinals against Superior. He has the most goals of any defenseman in Memorial High School history.

As significant as "Schem's" on-ice contributions were, his coaching success has been just as stellar. As Mike Schwengler's top assistant, he is known for training the young blue liners for the Abes, and has been an integral part of the success of the "Purple" program in the past decade.
