Xeres has been hailed as one of the greatest rulers
ever to sit on the throne of the Lanarian Empire. After his father died in the first
year of the Great Civil War, Xeres took the crown. After the war he did an admirable
job of rebuilding the Empire, holding it together through violent civil uprisings and
economic crises.
Xeres and his wife, Vizada, shared a great love that
produced three children: Vazali, Kazaneta and Xeebec.
Sadly, Xeres was never a healthy man, suffering from
respiratory problems throughout his life. This condition led to his tragically
sudden death, cutting short a remarkable life.
Xeres and his only son, Xeebec, were estranged for
the last years of his life, as Xeebec refused to forgive his father for naming Vazali as
his successor. He and Vazali were especially close, however.
