Bronzar's eight-year-old son, Zenni, is the only
child living in the imperial palace. Everyone else in the residential wing is an
employee: cooks, maids, chaffeurs, and security guards like his father. Bronzar does
his best to raise him, but Zenni still gets lonely and bored. Motherhood didn't suit
his other parent, who moved to another planet after the divorce. He hasn't seen her
in years, and somewhere in the back of his mind he blames himself.
All this means Zenni sometimes gets too mischieveous
for his own good. The palace is full of opportunites to get into trouble--priceless
vases to break, meetings to interrupt, fountains for wading and throwing rocks--and at one
time or another he's gotten into it all.
Zenni's least disruptive pasttime is the Captain
Comet Show. He faithfully watches the cartoon every afternoon, even if he's seen the
episode nine times already, and treasures his collection of action figures.
