Prince is a beautiful bright purple betta who always comes rushing to greet anyone who approaches his tank.  He loves company and dances whenever he has an audience. 
When the evil betta in the mirror tries to infringe on his territory he usually tries the diplomatic approach first.   He'll give a warning flare, swim away for a few seconds, and then come back for a second and more serious warning.  If the foolish intruder is still there when he comes back around the tank again, then he'll attack the glass.

Age:  He's lived with me since Saturday, February 11th, 2005.

Hobbies:  Doing dance routines, adoring shiny rocks, following people back and forth, exploring and defending his territory

Dislikes:  Bright yellow things

Diet: Freeze-dried bloodworms and daphnia, BioBlend betta bites, Wardley betta pellets, Hikari Betta BioGold, and more.

Habitat:  A five-and-a-half gallon tank in my bedroom.

Nicknames:  Princie, Principe

Namesake: I only had one name picked out for a betta since I was planning on getting just one that day.  Since "Ricky" was already taken, on the way home I started thinking of the other fish as "the fish with no name" or "the purple one."  There's a certain rock star who's been known as "The Purple One" and an unpronouncable symbol that's almost like having no name, so...Prince it is!
