Scarlet Karnage stood at the open window, smiling serenely down at the beach. The last pink glow of dawn still lingered in the eastern sky, and somewhere in the lush tropical undergrowth a bird trilled a bright, ululating call. The trade winds swept through the palms, cool in the early morning shadows, and she shivered slightly in her thin nightgown.
As if on cue, however, a pair of strong, warm arms came from behind, wrapping her in a snug embrace. She happily leaned back against him and gave a contented sigh.
"Buenas dias, Seņora Karnage."
"Good morning, querido."
