BORUMM.  Male weasel.  Rapscour in the Rapscallion army.  Ally of Byral and Vendance.  Fled after unsuccessfully trying to overthrow Damug, but was caught and executed.  (LP)

BUNTO.  Male mole of Redwall.  (LP)

BURFAL THE SILENT ONE.  Alias used by Tammo when he infiltrated the Rapscallions.  Mute.  Lifelong friend of Miggo.  (LP)

BUSCOL, MOTHER.  Small, fat female squirrel.  Redwall friar.  (LP)

BUTTY.  Young male squirrel.  Kitchen worker.  Succeeded Buscol as Friar of Redwall.  (LP)

BYRAL FLEETCLAW.  Greatrat.  Son of Gormad Tunn, brother of Damug Warfang.  Killed in a duel with Damug.  (LP)

CAMP TUSSOCK.  Settlement to the north-east of Mossflower.  Home to moles, squirrels, hedgehogs, wood mice and hares, including the family of Tammo De Fformelo Tussock.  (LP)

CAVERN HOLE.  Cozy, informal meeting and dining area in Redwall Abbey, down from Great Hall.

CHEEVA.  Young female hare of Salamandastron.  Later became Garrison Captain.  (LP)

CLUBRUSH.  Male hare.  Drill Sergeant in the Long Patrol. (LP)

CORNSPURREY De FFORMELO TUSSOCK.  Male hare.  Husband of Mem Divina, father of Lynum, Saithe and Tammo.  Retired Colonel of the 51st Paw and Fur Platoon of the Long Patrol.  One eye is permanently closed, the other has a monocle.  Stuffy, formal and strict.  Ran away as a leveret to join the Long Patrol and was disowned by his father.  (LP)

CRAKLYN. Female squirrel of Redwall. Good at solving riddles. Close friend of
Piknim.  Abbey Recorder. (PL, LP)

CREGGA ROSE EYES.  Female badger.  Lady of Salamandastron.  Favorite weapon is a huge pike.  Skilled in the forge.  Eyes perpetually tinged with the light of the Bloodwrath.  Killed Damug Warfang at the battle at the Ridge of a Thousand, but was blinded.  Unofficially adopted Russano and retired as Mother of the Redwall Dibbuns.  (LP)

DAMUG WARFANG.  Greatrat.  Son of Gormad Tunn, brother of Byral Fleetclaw.  Firstblade of the Rapscallion army.  Killed at the battle of the Ridge of a Thousand by Cregga Rose Eyes.  (LP)

DEODAR.  Young female hare of Salamandastron.  10th Spring Runner.  Favorite weapson is a saber.  Neice of Morio.  (LP)

DIGGUM.  Foremole. [Note:  Due to a rare goof by Brian Jacques, the genders of Diggum and Gurrbowl were switched between Pearls of Lutra and The Long Patrol.  In the latter, Diggum is male, but in the former, Diggum is a female Dibbun.]   (PL, LP)

GORMAD TUNN.  Greatrat.  Firstblade of the Rapscallions.  Father of Byral and Damug.  Died of complications of an injury inflicted by Cregga Rose Eyes at Salamandastron.  (LP)

GREAT HALL. Large meeting area in Redwall Abbey. Inside is a large tapestry chronicling the abbey's history.

GREATRATS.  Odd breed of rats.  Twice the size of normal rats.  Associated with the Rapscallion army.  (LP)

GRIBBLE.  Small male rat.  Member of the Rapscallion army.  Spy for Damug.  (LP)

GROMAL.  Male ferret.  Member of the Rapscallion army.  Weapon is a spear.  Partner of Skulka.  Killed by Russa.  (LP)

GUBBIO.  Male mole Dibbun of Redwall. (LP)

GURGAN SPEARBACK.  Male hedgehog.  Leader of the Waterhogs.  Husband of Rufftip, father of seven.  Retired and let his eldest son Tragglo become Chieftan.  Wears floppy sea boots, a large belt, seagull feathers in his headspikes, white paint with red polka dots on his face.  Skilled warrior.  (LP)

LUGWORM.  Male stoat.  Confidant of Damug during his rise to power, but later doublecrossed him.  Killed by Borumm.  (LP)

LYNUM.  Male hare.  Son of Cornspurrey and Mem Divina, elder brother of Tammo, brother of Saithe.  Lives in Camp Tussock.  Interested in farming.  (LP)

MEM DIVINA.  Hare.  Wife of Cornspurrey De Fformelo Tussock, mother of Lynum, Saithe and Tammo.  Retired member of the Long Patrol, when she used a silver-handled dirk.  Lives in Camp Tussock.  Wears an apron.  (LP)

MIDGE MANYCOATS.  Male hare.  Member of Perigord's regiment of the Long Patrol.  Spy and disguise artist.  (LP)

MIGGO THE SEER.  Alias used by Midge Manycoats when he infiltrated the Rapscallions.  Supposedly served under Gormand Tunn.  Lifelong friend of Burfal.  (LP)

RAPSCALLIONS.  Multispecies army led by a Firstblade, who is always a Greatrat.  Usually raid coastlines and stay away from the open seas, but have also been known to venture inland.  Were wiped out at the battle of the Ridge of a Thousand.  (LP)

RAPSCOURS.   Officers in the Rampscallion army who scout ahead.  (LP)

REEVE STARBUCK.  Male hare.  Runner in the Long Patrol.  Killed in the battle at the Ridge of a Thousand.  (LP)

RIDGE OF A THOUSAND.  Rocky hill west of the Redwall Abbey where a massive battle took place between the Rapscallion army and the forces of Redwall and Salamandastron.  (LP)

RIFFLE.  Male hare.  Brother of Algador.  Galloper in Perigord's regiment of the Long Patrol.  (LP)

RINKUL.  Male ferret.  Member of the Rapscallion army.  Took Russa's stick, but Tammo killed him and retrieved it.  (LP)

ROCKJAW GRANG.  "Giant of the North".  Large male hare.  Member of Perigord's regiment of the Long Patrol.  Killed helping Tammo and Midge escape from the Rapscallions.  (LP)

ROOLEE.  Male mole.  Husband of Osmunda.  Lives in Camp Tussock.  (LP)

RUBBADUB.  Fat male hare.  Corporal in Perigord's regiment of the Long Patrol.  Due to head wounds in battle, only speaks in drum sounds, and occasionally other instruments, but never words.  (LP)

RUFFTIP.  Female hedgehog.  Wife of Gurgan, mother of seven.  Eldest son is Tragglo.  Waterhog.  (LP)

RUSSA NODREY.  Female red squirrel.  A wanderer of undeterminate origins.  Wears a rough green tunic.  Most prized possession is her walking stick, which doubles as a weapon.  Helped Tammo join the Long Patrol.  Friend of those at Camp Tussock and Redwall Abbey.  Killed in a skirmish with some Rapscallions.  Namesake of Russano the Wise.  (LP)

RUSSANO THE WISE.  Male badger.  As a baby, was cared for by an old badgerwife who was killed by Rapscallions.  Then the Long Patrol took him to Redwall Abbey.  Cregga Rose Eyes took him under her wing and trained him.  He later succeeded her as ruler of Salamandastron.  (LP)
