The Huge List O'Links is no longer huge. I pared it down by a large amount, going for quality, not quantity. Many of the sites on the old list were no longer around, closed, or had been updated even less recently than this one. A bare-bones page for High Rhulain, with cover scans courtesy of redwall.org, has been added. I do have every intention of getting encyclopedia entries for both High Rhulain and Rakkety Tam added to the site. When? No clue. But don't give up on me. >_<
9 September 2004: Rakkety Tam is now out in the United States! Visit its page in the Encyclopedia for images of both the US and UK covers plus three exclusive interior scans and some new character names! 18 May 2004: An incredible seven years ago today the Redwall Encyclopedia went online! Wow! Here's to the next seven! :) I have version 2.0 entries for both The Long Patrol and Marlfox handwritten but I've been busy with remodeling projects offline so I haven't had time to type them up yet. 10 May 2004: I added lists of each Abbot and Abbess of Redwall and each Badger Lord or Lady of Salamandastron, in chronological order, to the Misc. pages section. 6 May 2004: The Pearls of Lutra section 2.0 has been uploaded with updated, expanded info and clearer scans! In addition, thanks to the official redwall.org site, I've posted the cover and short summary of the next Redwall book, Rakkety Tam! :) There's also one new pic of Romsca in my fanart gallery! 27 April 2004: The Redwall Encyclopedia: The Outcast of Redwall, version 2.0, is now online! New, updated and/or corrected entries for all the Outcast characters and places are up, as well as clearer scans of the illustrations. Pearls of Lutra 2.0 is next on the agenda. 15 April 2004: I added new digital sprites of Dandin, Triss, Dotti, Bryont, Slagar and Silvamord! 11 April 2004: The Redwall Encyclopedia: The Bellmaker, version 2.0, is now online! New, updated and/or corrected entries for all the Bellmaker characters and places are up, as well as clearer scans of the illustrations. Enjoy! 1 April 2004: The Redwall
Encyclopedia: Salamandastron, version 2.0, is now online! I also added some
new illustrations for Martin the Warrior and Salamandastron characters
taken from foreign Redwall covers. 31 March 2004: The Redwall Encyclopedia: Mariel of Redwall, version 2.0, is now online! Expanded, corrected and more detailed entries are up for your browsing pleasure. Salamandastron v. 2.0 is up next on the agenda. 30 March 2004: I re-scanned the images from the Build Your Own Redwall Abbey kit, and added the characters' illustrations to their entries in the Encyclopedia. 27 March 2004: I posted new, clearer scans from Mariel of Redwall! The Mariel Encyclopedia version 2.0 is coming soon! Also, one new piece of guest art in the gallery! 22 March 2004: I added a small gallery to Snowfur's Creative Corner for the Redwallish digital sprites I've made. 21 March 2004: The Redwall Encyclopedia: Mattimeo, version 2.0 is now live! I'm plugging away at revising the Mariel of Redwall section, but it might be awhile before it's up. My grandmother passed away last week after a very long illness, so I'm not in the webpage-updating mood right now. 16 March 2004: The Redwall Encyclopedia: Mossflower, version 2.0 is now live! Expanded, corrected, and updated entries for the characters from that novel are up for your browsing pleasure. I also added fresh, clear scans from Mattimeo to the appropriate character entries. The Mattimeo section version 2.0 will be up soon--i.e. whenever I can find time to type it all up. ;) I do have the handwritten version finished. 10 March 2004: Introducing the Redwall Encyclopedia: Redwall, version 2.0! I realized that some of my oldest entries are pretty boring to read and didn't exactly match the style of more recent books'. I had even missed a few minor characters. So I'm going back through some of the older novels with a printout of that book's section, rewriting and expanding some of the characters entries. I also re-scanned the images from the chapter headings of Redwall and Mossflower, since they were originally scanned in 1997 on a really old, really lousy scanner and the image quality is rather poor. Look for more sharper images plus the Redwall Encyclopedia: Mossflower, version 2.0 and R.E: Mattimeo, version 2.0 coming soon-ish. ^_^ One last bizarre little note: Harry Potter fans should be amused to know I uncovered another vermin in Cluny's army--Wormtail! He's a rat who lost a paw when the hay cart crashed, early in the novel Redwall. o_0 Sound familiar to anyone? ;) 3 March 2004: I've been Googling and websurfing and have uncovered oodles of foreign Redwall covers. So take a look into the "Covers and Extras" pages for all the novels, since there are new images there! Many characters now have new illustrations, too, thanks to pictures on the aforementioned covers. 2 March 2004: The Huge List of Links is now free of dead links once again! :) 28 Feb 2004: Updates two days in a row? GASP! What's gotten into me? ;) Today I updated the Unofficial Redwall FAQ with some information on the Redwall Tribes books, my own favorite characters, and some other miscellaneous tidbits. I also fixed a broken link or two on the Huge List. None of it is major stuff, really. ;) 27 Feb 2004: The Loamhedge encyclopedia has been posted! Wow, and you didn't even have to wait a couple years for it! ;-D As my policy has been, I won't merge the entries into the full alphabetical encyclopedia until the book is out in paperback, to avoid spoiling anything for people who can't get their paws on it before then. And in this case, I know Loamhedge didn't come out in the UK until just this month, so that makes it even more important to avoid spoilers. So for now Loamhedge will be in the book-by-book encyclopedia only. Enjoy! :-) 17 Feb 2004: I added a few new links to the Huge List, and two new fan drawings of Snowfur are up in the gallery. I apologize to anyone who got a very late reply to an e-mail, or didn't receive one at all. My e-mail got swamped by over 750 spam messages while I was busy with RL stuff, and it took quite a while to sort out again. :-p 1 Nov 2003: The Triss encyclopedia is now posted as its own section, and also has been incorporated into the main, alphabetical encyclopedia! I also added some images from the Redwall Friend and Foe and the Redwall Tribes books to the corresponding character entries. 17 Oct 2003: The Taggerung entries have now been merged into the main, alphabetical encyclopedia. Triss is coming soon! Today I also added new pictures in the alphabetical section of the encyclopedia for lots of characters, since I found some cover scans of international editions. 16 Oct 2003: Tada! The encyclopedia for Taggerung is now online! :-D The entries have not yet been thoroughly proofread or merged into the main, alphabetical encyclopedia, but that will be coming soon. For now, though, enjoy the embarrassingly belated new section! ;-) I also added a bunch of new links to the Huge List. 15 Oct 2003: Oh, good heavens! I thought I had merged the Legend of Luke encyclopedia entries into the main, alphabetical encyclopedia eons ago! Oops! *hides under the couch again but holds up a sign reading "They're merged now!"* >_< 14 Oct 2003: A new picture of Cluny the Scourge is up in the fanart gallery, which has been redesigned! I also added some more links to the Huge List O'Links! 11 Oct 2003: The entries for Lord Brocktree have now been merged into the main, alphabetical encyclopedia. I'm now working on gathering data on The Taggerung. 5 October 2003: *Snowfur peeks out from behind a piece of furniture, ashamed to even show her face after such a long delay in updates* Um...hi? I realize this is getting utterly ridiculous, but I'm still not ready to post the encyclopedia sections for the most recent Redwall books. I suck. I'm so sorry! I swear on the Sword of Martin I WILL get them up. The news for this update is, the site has moved to a new address for the first time since it first went online in 1997! You'll now find it at http://www.sullivanet.com/redwall! Please update all your links and bookmarks as soon as possible, since I'm not certain how long the old address with the forwarding page will work. As I was moving the site, I took the opportunity to fine-tune some things and remove others. The worst old graphics have been retired, and I took down the link to the update mailing list, since I never remember to send out updates that way. I also retired the useless old chat room. Some pages, like the Chronology and Creative Corner, have been given slight facelifts. Each book now has two encyclopedia pages: one for the encyclopedia entries themselves, and one for the cover images and whatever other reviews, blurbs, summaries and miscellaneous images and information that I have. Most of the changes are behind-the-scenes things like organizing files in subfolders and that sort of thing. I did my best to make sure there are no dead links or broken graphics anywhere, but if you spot one drop me a note and let me know. Thanks! I trust everyone's enjoying the brand-new Redwall book, Loamhedge! I did post pictures of the covers for both the British and American editions. I promise I'll get the encyclopedia updated for Taggerung
and Triss as soon as "real life" lets me. My grandmother's been very sick
this summer, so I haven't had the time and concentration I'd like for large projects.
But I haven't forgotten about the site, honestly! 1 Feb 2003: Two new links on the Huge List O'Links, and one new picture of Snowfur, drawn by a fan, is up in the art gallery! 3 January 2003: No, my fellow
Redwallers, I have not been kidnapped by pirates, nor have I forgotten about this site!
A redesign is underway. I know you're thinking, "Great, Snowfur, a new
design is lovely, but we want the Taggerung section of the Encyclopedia!
And what about Triss?" Well, I haven't forgotten about that stuff
either. My last semester of college will be starting soon, but after I graduate in
May updates for this site are a high priority on my to-do list. My sincerest
apologies to all for the long period of inactivity around here!!! 20 May 2002: As of the 18th of this month, this webpage has been online for FIVE YEARS! O_O Wow!!! *throws confetti in the air* Enjoy the redesign of the Encyclopedia index page, the Creative Corner and the Martin and Rose Shrine.
